Sales Price Worksheet: Tips to save you time

Save time by using the Sales Price Worksheet to apply changes to the unit price for an item for one customer, a group of customers, or all customers in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central. 

• Suggest Item Price on Worksheet
  This function will create suggestions for changing the agreed item unit prices for your sales prices in the Sales Price table based on the unit price on the item cards. You can also use the Suggest Sales Price on Worksheet batch job to create suggestions for new sales prices.
• Suggest Sales Price on Worksheet batch job
  This function creates suggestions for changing the agreed item unit prices in the Sales Price table based on the existing prices in the table. You can also use the Suggest Item Price on Worksheet batch job to create suggestions for new prices.

There are two ways of using this batch job: You can either update the sales prices with an adjustment factor, or you can copy a sales price agreement to another customer or customer price group. 

To update the item prices:

1. Choose the Suggest Item Price on Worksheet from the Sales Price Worksheet Page. 
2. On the Item FastTab of the request page, fill in the fields with the original item prices you want to update. 
3. In the top section of the request page, fill in the Sales Type and Sales Code with the type and name you want the sales prices copied to. 
4. If you wanted to increase the item prices by some percentage, fill in the Adjustment Factor field. For instance, there should be 10% increase in item price. Then, input 1.10 as Adjustment Factor. 
5. If you want the batch job to create new prices, turn on the Create New Prices toggle. 
6. Choose OK to fill in the lines on the Sales Price Worksheet page with the suggested new prices. 

To copy sales prices:

1. Choose the Suggest Sales Price on Worksheet action from the Sales Price Worksheet Page. 
2. On the Sales Prices FastTab of the request page, fill in the Sales Type and Sales Code fields with the original sales prices you want to copy. 
3. In the top section of the request page, fill in the Sales Type and Sales Code fields with the type and name you want the sales prices copied to. If the Sales Type is set to All Customer, you no longer need to input data on Sales Code, the field will automatically be greyed out. 
4. Toggle on the Create New Prices function if you want the batch job to create new prices. 
5. Choose the OK button to fill in the lines on the Sales Price Worksheet page with the suggested new prices, indicating that they are valid for the selected sales type. 

The batch jobs only create suggestions and doesn’t implement the suggested changes. However, you can still change the suggested ‘New Unit Price’ as this stage. Once you are satisfied with the suggestions you can use the Implement Price Change batch job to implement the changes in the system.
